About our outdoor coaching crew

We are a small Hamilton team that runs friendly, equipment-free movement masterclasses on the green spaces around the lake.

Our story

Started on a single Saturday morning in 2019

What began as three friends practising bodyweight drills under a willow has grown into a weekly schedule of welcoming masterclasses for adults of every starting point.

We hold sessions only outdoors, on free-to-use public greens, because we believe useful movement should not need a building, a contract or a wardrobe of gear. Just open ground, a clear coach and a kind group.

What we stand for

Four values that shape every session

Outdoors first

Sessions never move indoors. If the weather shifts we adapt the plan or reschedule openly.

Honest progress

We track simple, repeatable skills — no flashy promises, just clear steps you can practise.

Small groups

Twelve participants per class is the cap so every person gets a coach cue by name.

Plain language

No jargon, no gatekeeping. If you understand the cue, you can practise it on your own.

Coaching credentials

Who guides the masterclasses

Our lead coaches each hold a New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) listing and have a combined 20+ years of group facilitation experience.

REPs registered

Every host is on the national exercise register and renews continuing education each year.

First-aid current

Coaches keep a workplace first-aid certificate active and carry a kit at every session.

Local roots

We are residents of Kirikiriroa Hamilton and partner with the city parks team for site use.

Group teachers

Our crew comes from school PE, community recreation and outdoor education backgrounds.
