Outdoor masterclasses for equipment-free movement

Small-group sessions on the grass at Hamilton Lake. We coach simple bodyweight skills — squats, lunges, balance, breathing — so you can move better with nothing but the ground beneath you.

Why join us

Movement that fits real life

No memberships, no machines, no shouting coaches. Just clear cues, fresh air and a friendly group that cheers you on.

Outdoor by design

Every class meets in a park or open green. Sun, breeze, birdsong — included.

Zero equipment

Bodyweight only. Bring water and a towel; we provide the structure and space.

All levels welcome

Each move is shown with three tiers, from gentle starter to confident regular.

Short and useful

Sessions run 45 minutes — long enough to learn, short enough to repeat tomorrow.

What you can expect

A single masterclass, distilled into clear steps

  • Warm-up walk — joints prepared with mobility drills around the lake path.
  • Skill of the day — focus on one pattern, like the hinge or the single-leg stand.
  • Group practice — partner cues and friendly feedback in a relaxed circle.
  • Cool-down — guided breathing and a short reflection before you head off.

In their own words

What participants say

The grass-only setup felt friendly from minute one. I learned to balance on one leg without wobbling like a pole.

— Whetu, Hamilton East

Our coach explains every cue twice and never rushes. I started in autumn and have not skipped a Saturday since.

— Anaru, Frankton

Small group, calm pace, real progress. Plus the lake views make a 7am alarm feel almost reasonable.

— Hinerangi, Claudelands
